Colchester County District RCMP were called to a Parkwood Drive residence around 3:30 am October 3rd following a report of an assault. Three people were arrested in connection with the incident.
Police say four people forced their way into the Truro Heights home while the residents were inside.
According to RCMP, one of the women was armed with a knife and threatened to stab the residents if the two men with her were not allowed inside. The women left shortly afterward, leaving the men at the residence.
The two men assaulted the residents, a 27-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, before fleeing the scene in a Hyundai Elantra.
Both victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Truro Police Service officers later located the Elantra and arrested its four occupants, according to RCMP.
Lucas Charles Brooks, 31, of Sipekne’katik, is charged with two counts of assault, two counts of uttering threats and one count of mischief. Police say Brooks was remanded into custody and appeared in Truro Provincial Court on October 5th.
A 34-year-old man from Bayside and a 19-year-old woman from Truro are also facing charges in connection with the incident, police say. They are scheduled to appear in Truro Provincial Court on December 16th.
Police say the fourth person was released without charge.
